A wonderful mule trek takes us through these peaceful valleys, surrounded by colorful foothills and pinky mountain ranges. We walk on well-defined mountain paths crossing charming berber villages .


Stretching out between the high Atlas mountains and the volcanic ranges of Jbel Saghro, geologically it consists of two river valleys, are Mgoun and the Dadès. The Rose valley is famous for its rose growing which have been cultivated here for centuries.

A wonderful mule trek takes us through these peaceful valleys, surrounded by colorful foothills and pinky mountain ranges. We walk on well-defined mountain paths crossing charming berber villages, which give us an insight into the simple lives of these hardy mountain people.

From April to May, the valley of roses gives off a pleasant scent and is covered with multi-coloured flowers. The gathering process, traditionally a woman's task, requires great dexterity and patience. The flowers are carefully cut one by one and laid in willow baskets which are then sent to the distilleries.


Day 01- Flight to Marrakech.

Arrival at Marrakesh airport, welcome by your tour guide and transfer to the hotel or riad for your overnight stay. If you arrive early enough you can visit some of Marrakesh’s beautiful monuments, the famous Jamaa Lafena square and strolling in the boisterous markets of the Medina.

Day 02-  Marrakech – Tighermatine

After breakfast departure by car towards Ait Khiar(1490m), the start point of our trek where we meet the muleteers. We across the high Atlas mountains by Tizi N’Tichka pass, Ouarzazate, Skoura palm grove androse valley. We hike along the river to explore the beautiful berber villages,gardens and Kasbahs, we spend the night in camp. 3 hours walk.

Day 03-Tighermatine– Agouti Al Foukani

Walking along the river, planted fields of corn, barley,roses and almond trees. After lunch, we continue to achieve the panoramic view on Saghro, rose valley and Ighil Mgoun (4071m), we go down quietly towards Agouti Al Foukani where we camp. 5 hours walk.

Day 04-AgoutiAl Foukani – Amejgag

We head to the north, to Alemdoun village (1980m) for lunch. Afternoon, we continue our walk through the cultivated fields to reach Amejgag (1850m) where we camp. A short walk to a natural lake will be interesting. 4 hours walking.

Day 05-Amejgag – Boutaghrar

We move to the east direction to admire the beautiful view on the valley then we follow a track that leads to a small village wherewe found many cob houses. After lunch, we continue to Boutaghrar to spend a night with the inhabitant. 5 hours ½ of walk.

Day 06-Boutaghrar– Dades Gorges

The last day of our trek, between Dades and Rose valley at the land of Ait Atta in desertic fields. We arrive to Ait youl and have lunch,our driver will come and transport us to Dades gorges to spend the night in Kasbah La Vallée hotel. 4 hours walk.

Day 07-Dades Gorges – Marrakech

After breakfast, return to Marrakech via Ouarzazate by the beautiful road of Tichka pass. Hotel or riad.

Day 08- Return flight.

Transfer to the Marrakech airport. Return flight according to flight

Recommended Period:  late summer, autumn and spring are suitable time of the year to go hiking in the valley of roses. The best time to visit this valley is from April to May when the rosebushes are in bloom.

Trip grading: walking in the valley of roses offer medium pace. The length of the stages does not exceed 15 km per day, including 3 to 5 hours walking and for heights ranging between 200 and 700meters. This trip is accessible to all without exception, not forgetting that little preparation is required and always advisable.

City Accommodation: during your stay in cities,we offer a good choice of carefully selected accommodations. You will stay in comfortable hotels or riads of good category 3 or 4 stars which we have chosen for their comfort and cleanliness as well as for their charm, welcoming quality, tranquility and security of the place.

Outdoor Accommodation: during the trek, the overnight stay will be in bivouac. Camping is the most practical option to discover some of the Morocco’s authentic areas. With us you will camp in comfort, spacious igloo tents with foam mattress provided. We also provide shower and toilet tents, all crockery and cutlery.

Staying in bivouac, under tents allows you to enjoy nights out in the open air with moments of real pleasure to live and to discover the stars.

Necessary Logistic: when we go hiking in the Atlas mountains, we usually hire mules to carry your luggages, food supplies and necessary logistic to install the camp. Your bags are transported by the mules. Therefore, all you need to take with you are the essential items for the walking day: water bottle, sun cream, camera and a warm fleece.

Itinerary and Breaks: the stages of this trek are well calculated so to permit you taking pauses and picture breaks. You will have enough time to discover beautiful sites, meet the locals, taking the pictures and admiring the landscapes.
