Jebel Saghro arrises just south of and parallel to thecentral High Atlas. The volcanic massif is the last before the vast extent ofthe Sahara. The Saghro links up to Djebel Siroua and divides the valleys ofDades and Draa. The Saghro landscape looks like a moonscape: very mineral andraw. The plateaus are relieved by deep and narrow valleys and forests. You canenjoy the beautiful rock formations, high peaks and the abundance of space. There are little villages, often no bigger than a few houses surrounded bypalm- or almond trees. It is mostly the land of the nomads Ait Atta, who moveaway from M’goun during cold season, in search of pasture land for their goatsor camels.
